Central Railway invites ONLINE applications for filling up Two posts in Level-2 against Cultural Quota for the year 2026-27:

  • Theatre Actor (Male) - 01 Post
  • Harmonium Player - 01 Post
Note: The posts are open to all regardless of community and there is no reservation for any community.
Eligibility Conditions (Academic & Professional)
A) Academic Qualification:

Passed 12th (+2 stage) from recognized Board or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% Marks in the aggregate. (50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-servicemen)[cite: 2].

OR Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship OR Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.

B) Essential Professional Qualification:
  • Theatre Actor (Male): Possession of Degree/Diploma course from a Government recognized university/institute in Acting/Drama.
  • Harmonium player: Degree/Diploma course in Harmonium from a Government recognized university/institute.
Age Limit

The lower and upper age limit will be reckoned on 01/01/2027. Age group: 18 to 30 years for UR.

  • SC / ST: Relaxation by 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy layer): Relaxation by 3 years
  • PwBD: Relaxation by 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), and 15 years (SC/ST)
Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen, widows, divorced women, and other eligible categories as per extant rules.
Examination Fee
  • ₹500/- for all candidates except those mentioned below (with a provision for refunding ₹400/- to those who are found eligible and actually appear in the Written Test).
  • ₹250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability/Women/Minorities and Economically Backward Class (EBC) (with full provision for refunding the fee to those who appear in the Written Test).
Fee payment must be made online through payment gateway integrated with the application process.
Important Dates
  • Opening Date and Time for Online Applications: 05/11/2026 at 10.00 Hrs.
  • Closing Date and Time of Online Applications: 04/12/2026 at 18.00 Hrs.
How to Apply
  1. Candidates are required to apply ONLINE by visiting www.rrccr.com.
  2. Fill up personal details, bio-data, and qualifications carefully. Ensure Aadhaar number or valid government photo ID is provided.
  3. Upload scanned passport size photograph and signature as per specified format/size constraints.
  4. Upload legible copies of minimum educational and professional qualification certificates, date of birth proof, and caste certificates (if applicable).
  5. Make online payment through the integrated payment gateway.
  6. Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference and document verification stages.

Candidates need not send any application printouts or certificates by post. Ensure all details match Matriculation records to avoid cancellation of candidature.
